The WVU baseball team had a successful home opener, defeating Kennesaw State 16-2 and improving their season record to 13-0. Griffin Kirn earned his third win of the season, pitching into the sixth inning. The Mountaineers' offense was explosive, with 18 hits, led by Skylar King and Sam White, who each had four hits. Jace Rinehart hit a two-run home run, and Grant Hussey contributed two RBIs. The bullpen also performed well, and Bryant Yoak struck out two in a scoreless inning. WVU will continue the series with Kennesaw State with two more home games.
