Cabell Midland defeated Morgantown 8-0 in a Class AAA baseball state semifinal, powered by a dominant pitching performance from Kenyon Collins. Collins allowed only one hit and struck out 10 batters over 6 1/3 innings, while also driving in four runs at the plate.

Morgantown had scoring opportunities early in the game, but failed to capitalize against Collins. The Knights took control in the third inning, scoring three runs on a two-run double by Collins and a single by Luke Samuel.

Cabell Midland added to their lead with two more runs in the fifth inning and another two in the sixth, all with Collins on base. The Mohigans were unable to generate any offense after the fifth inning, leading to the shutout victory for the Knights.

This win advances Cabell Midland to the state championship game, where they will face George Washington in an all-Mountain State Athletic Conference matchup. The Knights will be seeking their second consecutive state title.
